Wombat

mein Name ist Wombat / my name is Wombat

In Australien haben sind wir u.a. durch die Blue Mountains und durch das Hunter Valley - Tal durchgefahren. Insbesondere im Hunter Valley ist es morgens und abends (abends in der Zeit von ca. 16.30 bis 17.30 Uhr) sehr gefährlich: etliche Känguruhs und Wombats überqueren die Landstraßen und es folgen unangenehme Kollisionen von Auto/Mensch und Tier.

Noch nie habe ich so viele tote Tiere am Straßenrand gesehen, darunter auch Wombats.

Den obigen Wombat habe ich in Sydney gefunden, er rief schon nach mir.

In Australia, we travelled through the Blue Mountains and the Hunter Valley. It is quite dangerous to drive through some landscapes, especially in the Hunter Valley kangaroos and wombats cross the roads in the mornings and in the afternoons (in the afternoon some time between 4.30 and 5.30 pm) and there are many collisions between cars/mankind and animals.

I have never seen so many dead animals on the roadsides, many wombats amongst them.

This one I found in Sydney, he had been calling my name already.
