Bruno

Mein Name ist Bruno und ich darf heute (ausnahmsweise) einen Gastbeitrag schreiben, weil ich nämlich das vermutlich älteste Kuscheltier von Thoras Tochter bin und weil mich Thora ohne mein Einverständnis gestern einfach in die Waschmaschine gesteckt hat. Na ja, jetzt bin ich noch etwas naß und strubbelig, aber sauber.

Zu Thoras Tochter kam ich vor fast 19 Jahren, genauer gesagt brachte mich die Patentante Miss Canada Dry mit. Ich habe schon viel gesehen und gehört, manchen Umzug mitgemacht. Und so wurde ich gestern auch gefragt, ob ich lieber mit nach Schwerte gehen oder bei Thora auf meinen neuen Spielkameraden warten soll. (Hätte ich gewußt, dass Thora mich danach umgehend in die Trommel steckt, wäre ich natürlich nach Schwerte gezogen.)

Ich warte jetzt geduldig bis ich trocken bin und werde dann wieder mein altes Zimmer beziehen, in dem ich die letzten 10 Jahre in der Ecke verbracht habe. Das Zimmer wird übrigens heute schon neu gestrichen - ich glaube das liegt daran, dass Thora so lange rumgenörgelt hat, bis DH die Nase voll hatte und den Malerkittel anzog.

Ich freue mich schon auf meine Aufgabe als treuer Begleiter und Schmusetier des Enkels.

My name is Bruno and today (just this once) I'm allowed  to write a guest feature in this blog because I'm probably the oldest cuddly toy of Thora's daughter and because Thora put me in the washing machine without asking me yesterday. Now I'm still a bit wet and tousled, but clean.

I met Thora's family approx. 19 years ago, when the godmother Miss Canada Dry brought me as a present. I have seen and heard a lot and changed flats quite a few times. Yesterday I was asked if I'd prefer to go to Schwerte or rather stay here at Thora's place and wait for my new playmate. (Had I known that Thora would throw me in the washing drum almost immediately afterwards I would have moved to Schwerte of course.)

Now I'll wait patiently for my fur to dry and will move back to my old room, where I've spent the last 10 years in a corner. By the way, the room is being painted already - I think this is because I heard Thora nagging non-stop until DH was truly fed up and put on his painting outfit.

I'm really looking forward to my new job as a devoted companion and cuddly toy of the grandchild.
