Ich habe mich angemeldet und einen Mitgliedsbeitrag bezahlt, der mir zwar auf Anhieb nicht sehr gefiel, aber mir war schon bei der Anmeldung klar, dass man hier qualitativ einwandfreies Garn und gut geschriebene Anleitungen erwarten kann. Und das vier Mal im Jahr, mit eigens für diesen Club neu entworfenen Anleitungen und von 4 Färberinnen gefärbter Wolle. Die Wolle (jeweils ein Strang à 100 g) wird nur für diese Aktion gefärbt und zwar von DyeForYarn, Wollmeise, Wollkenschaf und Welthase.
Ich glaube, Wollmeise kennt jeder und von Wollkenschaf habe ich neulich mal 4 Stränge gekauft. Aus einem davon stricke ich das Tuch "Naiada", entworfen von Martina Behm. Es ist ein wunderbares Garn. Die anderen Wollieferanten kannte ich nicht.
Aber jetzt zu der ersten Lieferung (die natürlich just einen Tag nach meinem Abflug in die USA ankam): ich bin begeistert. Der erste Strang kommt von DyeForYarn, ist eine Merino/Seidenmischung und die Farbe ist umwerfend. Und das Tuch ist eine schöne Kreation, passend zum Valentinstag. Aber seht selbst:

Last year, the knitting designer Martina Behm has found a knitting club, the Strickmich Club.
I have signed and paid a member fee which - at first sight - was not really to my liking but i knew that one could expect high quality yarn and well written patterns. Four times this year, every member receives a new pattern exclusively written for the club and hand dyed yarn from 4 different dyers. The yarn (in skeins of 100 g each) is dyed exclusively for the club, it comes from DyeForYarn, Wollmeise, Wollkenschaf and Welthase.
I think everybody knows Wollmeise and I have recently bought 4 skeins from Wollkenschaf. I'm knitting the shawl "Naiada" from one of them, designed by Martina Behm. It is a wonderful yarn. I have not heard of the other yarn suppliers before.
But now to the first shipment (which of course arrived only one day after my departure to the US): I am delighted. The first skein comes from DyeForYarn and is a mixture of merino and silk and the colour is spectacular. I also like the design of the shawl, just right for Valentine Day. But see for yourself:

Das Päckchen enthielt eine schön gedruckte Anleitung, die Wolle einige Kleinigkeiten. Die Postkarte ist ein Aufkleber. / The parcel contained a well printed pattern booklet, the yarn and some goodies. The postcard is a sticker.
Das Rot ist wirklich der Hammer. / The red colour is really outstanding.
Ich konnte dem Anstricken nicht widerstehen, aber das Bild ist ziemlich schlecht. / I could not resist casting on but the photo is crap.
Zu finden ist das alles auch bei ravelry, dort gibt es auch eine entsprechende Gruppe "Strickmich". Ich kann nur sagen, dass ich sehr begeistert bin und mich schon auf die folgenden drei Lieferungen freue.
