Zuerst hatten wir ein Hotelzimmer normaler Größe und Ausstattung, jedoch ließ sich kein Fenster öffnen. Da die Heizperiode allgemein erst zum 1. Mai endet, lässt sich die Klimaanlage nicht einschalten und im Zimmer wird es unerträglich warm.
Unser chinesischer Kollege ist ein Meister der Verhandlung (wie viele andere Chinesen auch) und nach einer kurzen und deutlichen Beschwerde bekamen wir drei neue "Zimmer". So luxuriös habe ich im Hotel noch nicht gewohnt.

In the first week in Beijing we stayed at the New Century Grand Hotel because it is close to the South and West railway stations from where we set off to our destinations Yanzhou und Xi'An.
At first we had a room of normal size and furnishing but there was no chance to open a window. As the heating period generally ends on May 1st the air condition is still out of order and the heat becomes almost unbearable.
Our Chinese colleague is a master of negotiation (as many other Chinese) and after a short and explicit complaint we were taken to three new "rooms". I have never stayed in such a luxurious hotel apartment before.
